Aging is widely considered a taboo subject in today’s society, but who says that it has to be? We celebrated all birthdays, and with every second that passes, we are older (and smarter!) Than before. Here are the most inspiring quotes of famous women in Hollywood who were proud to grow old – because let’s be honest, we will all happen:
“You have to hug yourself when you get older,” she said. “Life is precious, and if you have lost many people, you will see that every day is a gift.”
“People who are retired have extraordinary, productive, challenging, difficult and professional life and they are not finished,” she said. “It doesn’t suddenly screech to a standstill.”
“This word ‘anti-aging’ must be hit,” she said. “I benefit. I want to age with intelligence, grace and dignity, verve and energy.”
“It seems so silly to talk about something negative when it is a privilege to continue to age,” she said.
“I see aging as follows: older ones are a blessing and a privilege,” she said. “And if you lay the basis for a healthy life in your younger years, your older years may be some of the best of your life.”
“It is a liberation in her forty to feel free from the opinions of other people,” she said. “I mean, they are always there. They are simply not so important for them and it’s a great feeling.”
“The more we live in a culture in which age is accepted as a function of life,” she said, “the more opportunities we have to develop as humans for all of life, and that is a gift.”
“I want young people to stop being afraid of getting older,” she said. “What counts is not old (or) this chronological number. What counts is your health.”
“I think it’s an honor for age, and as many people are shy away from it and don’t want to say their age,” she said. “I love getting older. I look at women who are ahead of me and see so much beauty and wisdom in them.”
“I’m looking forward to my 50s,” she said. “I have the feeling that I will take my step in my 50s.”
“I am very grateful that I am in the Midlife part of my life – well in our life and our career,” she said. “Because they have a certain amount of agency, a certain amount of power and a certain level of understanding what the deal is.”
“Aging is a privilege and we should see it that way,” she said. “We should feel like this when we get older. We should feel like the crowned jewels of our society.”
“I’m now a young person than in my youth,” she said.
“People realized that women only get sexists at age,” she said. “You are learned more and richer in character.”
“When it comes to women, it is almost as if we are sent to the pasture, and it’s not fair for us, because in my opinion we get better when we get older,” she said. “Don’t fight against it. Hug it because it is inevitable.”
“If I dye my hair, people could perceive me as a younger. I just don’t need it; it is nothing I wish,” she said. “It is not a perception that would be satisfactory for me. I feel probably seen as an aging woman.”
“There will always be people who don’t like something they do,” she said. “If you get older, you can get involved and don’t worry.”
“I have no problems with aging – that’s the happiest thing I was in my life,” she said.
“Women will certainly become more beautiful when they get older because our faces are more part of it,” she said. “Things that I find incredibly beautiful are wrinkles around the eyes, back of the hands, I think these things are very nice.”
“I don’t want to be younger. I am very grateful to be exactly at this age,” she said. “I try to absorb it. I have the feeling that I live in my power. I live in my wisdom. I live in my joy and in my ability to do and do things.”
“People asked me about age since I was 20 years old. I bothered myself more than today,” she said. “Now it makes more sense to discuss 50. It is a huge, nice thing, and I really want to celebrate it with all my friends.”
“The time just came by, but they rely more on what they have in front of them instead of what is behind them,” she said.
