The internet won’t stop talking about the Kylie Cosmetics founder and reality TV star being part of A24 The momenta film “based on an original idea” by Charli XCX.
On October 9, Charli shared a visually polarizing teaser with a super-powerful strobe effect reminiscent of Gaspar Noé’s opening credits sequence. Warning: The teaser video has strobe effects for people who may experience seizures.
The teaser was set to Icona Pop’s 2013 hit “I Love It” and revealed the epic cast, which includes Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Arielle Dombasle, Jamie Demetriou, Rish Shah, Rachel Sennott and Alexander Skarsgård.
The moment is set to follow an aspiring pop star, played by Charli XCX, who, according to Deadline, “manages the complexities of fame and industry pressures while preparing for her arena tour debut.” Charli is working with director Aiden Zamiri (director of the music videos for Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” and Charli’s “360”). Aiden co-wrote the project with Bertie Brandes.
The internet was abuzz with excitement over the stunning teaser.
But the name in the cast that is on everyone’s lips is – Kylie.

For me, Kylie’s inclusion in the film is a huge win for the first few seasons of Charli XCX. Fans of the “Everything is Romantic” singer may remember what Charli tweeted about Kylie years ago, and now it’s becoming a reality.
